The Watershed Resident Artist Program
The Water Shed is launching a new annual Resident Artist Program, based at our storefront location in Germantown. Opened in November 2024 in partnership with the Philadelphia Water Department, Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, The Water Shed, an environmental resilience hub at 5300 Wayne Avenue, provides flooding resources, paid science research initiatives, and ongoing workshops and events to help community members understand, prepare for, and recover from ongoing flood events in Germantown.
Philadelphia Black Dance Project
Honor the legacy of the trailblazing, pioneering Black dancers of Philadelphia as the artist of a new mural in Grays Ferry.
2026 Gateways and Corridors RFQ
Mural Arts is seeking artists for multiple opportunities related to enhancing gateways and corridors as part of the City’s preparations for the semi-quincentennial. Murals will be commissioned in a variety of sizes, design approaches, installation approaches and themes.
To reduce the amount of effort required to apply for these multiple opportunities, we have created one application that artists can use to apply for any or all of these project types, depending on their interests and qualifications in various locations.
