Philadelphia Black Dance Project
Honor the legacy of the trailblazing, pioneering Black dancers of Philadelphia as the artist of a new mural in Grays Ferry.
2026 Gateways and Corridors RFQ
Mural Arts is seeking artists for multiple opportunities related to enhancing gateways and corridors as part of the City’s preparations for the semi-quincentennial. Murals will be commissioned in a variety of sizes, design approaches, installation approaches and themes.
To reduce the amount of effort required to apply for these multiple opportunities, we have created one application that artists can use to apply for any or all of these project types, depending on their interests and qualifications in various locations.
Photography Apprenticeship
Mural Arts Philadelphia facilitates over 100 public art projects and several hundred programs and events each year. To support this work, Mural Arts offers a paid Photography Apprenticeship (PA) designed for photography students or advanced amateurs seeking real-world experience in a professional arts environment.
Apprentices work under the guidance of an experienced staff photographer, gaining hands-on experience in event, documentary, and occasional editorial or portrait photography. Instruction is embedded throughout the program, including technical and business mentorship.
This opportunity is open to emerging photographers who:
Are currently studying photography or have equivalent experience
Are seeking structured mentorship and field experience
Own or have access to professional equipment
Can travel throughout Philadelphia, especially on weekends or evenings
