Lace In The Moon

Nicole Nikolich, who goes by the artist name Lace In The Moon, is a crochet installation artist and street artist based in Philadelphia. She specializes in large-scale crochet murals and 3D installations. In 2017, Nicole began crocheting as a way to help combat her depression and anxiety. What started as a hobby soon evolved into a full-time practice when Nicole realized she had a knack for capturing attention with her art, not only of her community, but also of brands worldwide. Nicole believes in the power of art as play, and often incorporates pop culture, mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, and nostalgia as themes in her work. Her most notable clients include Microsoft, Target, Netflix, Michaels Stores, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and The University of Pennsylvania. She received her BFA in Fashion from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015.
