I was born and raised in Richmond Virginia, and have been painting murals for public art and private commissions since I graduated from high school in 2009, after which this became my full-time job upon graduating from VCU. My life and art practice center around the belief that you should embrace your space – your body, house, neighborhood, city, all of it. Each project is a unique opportunity to explore a new context that will drive the shape of the art I create. While I relish my commissioned work for clients, I am eager for opportunities to express my personal artistic vision on the large scale that I am most passionate about. We are living through a time of extraordinary division, and I aim to use my skills on public platforms to speak to how we can heal our nation’s broken soul.
My experience consists of coordination, design, and execution of over 180 murals in 4 countries and 10 states. I’ve worked on design plans for these murals with a wide variety of stakeholders: neighborhood committees, small businesses, large corporations, city planning commissions, festivals, developers, etc. My most recent large exterior projects are a 4000 sq ft mural at The Otis in Scott’s Addition entitled Starting Space, and a similarly-sized mural in Roanoke, VA on The Bower which is currently still in-progress.
